On successful completion of this subject students should be able to:
Explain what is microprocessor and why it is called so , understand its evaluation and its different family members and their features. After that the learner will be able to understand 8085 microprocessor with its pin diagram and block diagram with all its specifications, its various interrupts with the help of interrupt structure, different instructions of 8085 up with the help of assembly level programming examples.
After reading 8085 up the student will read the next advance microprocessor that is 8086. After reading 8086 up the learner will be able to explain its different functional blocks with its block diagram, different signals with the help of pin diagram of the same, instruction sets with the help of programming examples and also will be able to compute the physical address.
After understanding the features of 8085 and 8086 microprocessor the student will be able to interface the different peripheral devices like Keyboard, seven segment, 8255 PPI etc. with these two microprocessors to design their own applications.
