One of the oldest branches of engineering, Civil Engineering (CE) is responsible for creating most of the tA Master’s degree in Civil Engineering trains a person to design, plan, build and maintain public and private structures and naturally formed surroundings. Apart of robust engineering knowledge, the student is also trained in administrative and supervisory skills to work in power plants, irrigation canals, dams, shipping canals, river navigation, water works, transmission towers, industrial plants, rail-roads, bridges, highways and even sewage systems. On completing the course, students can seek jobs in road project, building works, quality testing labs, consultancy firms, and research and teaching, private construction companies, military and railway projects, state or central government engineering services and much more.
MVN School of Engineering and Technology is committed to unleashing the full potential of each of its students. To this end, the institute ensures that each of its staff members are dedicated to building a firm foundation of knowledge within each student through the best teaching methodologies and the right support. The state-of-the-art infrastructure helps the faculty achieve this aim.

He /She should have passed B.E/B. Tech in relevant discipline with 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent from any Indian University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State legislature in India or from an institution declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or from a foreign University recognized by the competent authority in the country where it is registered.
Candidates with a valid GATE score in the respective branches of engineering will be given preference as opposed to NON-GATE candidates. Wherever GATE score is not available, the admission to M. Tech programme will be made on merit in the qualifying examination.
Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings. Civil engineering is the oldest engineering discipline it is traditionally broken into several sub-disciplines including environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, municipal or urban engineering, water resources engineering, materials engineering, coastal engineering. Civil engineering takes place on all levels: in the public sector from municipal through to national governments, and in the private sector from individual homeowners through to international companies. General civil engineering is also referred to as site engineering, a branch of civil engineering that primarily focuses on converting a tract of land from one usage to another. Civil engineers typically apply the principles of geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, environmental engineering, transportation engineering and construction engineering to residential, commercial, and industrial and public works projects of all sizes and levels.
The Department of Civil Engineering is having well established laboratories. Laboratory courses are designed to support theoretical concepts taught. All the laboratories are equipped well. Project works, dissertation works and thesis works are supported by the laboratories. The Department is associated with technocrats, who have excelled in varied fields ranging from academics to project management, designing earthquake resistant structures to constructing bridges, managing the ever changing needs of our developing country. The University is working with great zeal for teaching, research, and consulting activities. The field visits to Real Estate and Infrastructure Constructions are value additions to facilitate the practical feel of the subject. Specially trained human resources at Department of Civil Engineering, will handle critical areas in System planning, Design and Rehabilitation, management of the infrastructure for giving much needed impetus for economic development and improve quality of life, meeting the societal needs. The department offers B. Tech program with specialization in Structural Management, Water Resources & Hydrology, and Environment Engineering & Geo Technology.
We at MVN School of Civil Engineering provide technical education of highest standards in the field of Civil Engineering and grow as a centre of excellence in the field. The Department of Civil Engg. has the legacy of producing high quality engineers . The Department has highly qualified faculty with M Tech ( from IIITs) and PhD qualifications
