To be eligible for admission to the first year of any of the School of Engineering Undergraduate Course of the University w.e.f. academic session 2012-13, a candidate must fulfill the following minimum eligibility criteria.
Should have passed the 10+2 examination conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education /Haryana Board of School Education with Mathematics, Physics as Compulsory subjects alonwith one of the subjects Viz Chemistry, Computer Science/Bio Technology/Biology, or equivalent examination from a recognized board with an overall aggregate of 50%marks.
Additionally, the candidate should have appeared and secured a valid Rank in JEE/MVN University Entrance Test or Other Entrance Test as specified in Admission Brochure in the year of admission.
The selection to all B.Tech programmes will be on merit, based on JEE rank. In absence of a credible entrance examination, MVN University Entrance Test as specified in Admission Brochure of the year of admission may be considered. The admission may be done through online display of merit cum admission lists / Physical counseling on merit as necessary and as specified by the Admission Brochure. For NRIs the admission will be based on the basis of the qualifying examination. Detailed selection and enrollment procedure will be published with the admission notice in Admission Brochure before commencement of admission every year.
Laboratories like Electrical Technology lab, Electromechanical Energy Conversion lab, Circuit and Network lab, Power Electronics lab, Electrical Workshop exist right from the inception of the University. With the start of P.G. Program in EE branch, the Department modernized these already existing laboratories. Along with these labs, department have developed Advanced Elecltric Machine and Drives Lab and equipped with most modern power electronics controlled equipments. Power system and Protection Lab is equipped with Transmission line simulators, electromagnetic as well as static relays, Relay test bench and Relay trainers. The students are required to work on Computer for better understanding of Electrical Circuit Transients and Power Electronics Circuit using OrCAD and P-Spices Analog & Digital Circuit Simulation Software.

Head of Department
Mr. Mukesh Kumar Saini is the Head of Department of the Electrical Engineering Department of MVN School of Engineering and Technology. He is Pursuing his PhD in Electrical Engineering. He received his M. Tech. in Electrical Engineering (Power System & Drives) from YMCA Institute of Engineering Faridabad. He has 11 years of teaching experience. His area of interest includes Electrical Technology Electromechanical Energy Conversion, Electrical Machines, Electrical Power Generation, Control System Engineering, Deregulation in Power System Electrical Measurements & Measuring Instruments, Basic Electronics etc. He guided B. Tech. students for their major project work in area of his research interest. He has presented many in national conferences on emerging areas of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at different technical forums. He has also attended a Faculty Orientation Programme on ‘Entrepreneurship Development & small Business Management’ organized by Hardicon Limited under the aegis of DST, Government of India, New Delhi He has 2 books on electrical technology and electro mechanical energy conversation, many study materials and lab manuals to his credit. He is also a life member of various professional bodies.
